The Rev. Canon Harry Mathis selected for promotion

The Rev. Canon Harry Mathis received word today of his selection* for promotion to O-6 (Colonel). Fr. Harry is the first CEC priest to be promoted to a full Bird Colonel!

Fr. Harry is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and Oral Roberts University School of Theology. Prior to being ordained to the priesthood in the CEC in 2000, Fr. Harry was an Air Force Chaplain and United Methodist Church Presbyter. He is presently assigned to the Air Force Chief of Chaplains Office at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, DC. He serves as the Canon Missioner to the Air Force for the CEC Archdiocese of the Armed Forces and Federal Chaplaincies.

Fr. Harry and his wife Sherry have five children.
