Fr. Dean Schultz and Fr. Martin Eppard from Good Shepherd CEC, Ellicott City, MD. attended the Saturate 09 Youth Conference at Fr. Eppard’s alma mater, Elim Bible Institute, in Lima, NY. Around 1,000 young people from a variety of church backgrounds gathered for intense worship and profound preaching of the Word. Pastor Adam McCain from Texas conveyed the Gospel message as only he can with story telling, drama and passion. Frs. Eppard and Schultz were also able to sit in on classes and chapel services and visit with faculty members at the adjoining Bible College.
The following Sunday they stayed over and worshipped with Trinity Communion Church, CEC in their beautiful facility in Rochester, NY. Fr. Dean ministered in song and then they spent an afternoon in edifying fellowship with Trinity’s rector, Fr. Robert Dalgleish.
The weekend was truly inspiring and invigorating as we watched and experienced the Holy Spirit moving powerfully in the lives of so many young people. The impact of an event like Saturate will affect this next generation and generations to come with the power of the Gospel.
