On Sunday November 1, the Church of the Reconciler in Fairfield, Alabama was treated to one of the extraordinary gifts in our communion — a visit from Bishop Moses Meeli Ngusa and his wonderful wife Agnes, who are members of the Masai tribe in Kenya. They both ministered to the congregation in the spirit of grace and truth. The Holy Spirit revealed the love of Jesus through His courageous and humble servants. Bishop Moses shared with the children of our parish how many African children in his village have to walk for miles every day just to get to school. He also encouraged them to seek the Lord about a calling to the mission fields of Africa. He also taught them a few African greetings. Bishop Moses and Agnes demonstrated some authentic Masai praise and worship songs with traditional African dancing and then he preached a powerful message from Jeremiah 33:3 Call to me, and I will answer you; I will tell to you things great beyond reach of your knowledge.
After celebrating the Eucharist, Bishop Moses and Agnes prayed for many with needs that could only be met by a God who hears and answers our prayers. We are truly fortunate to have Bishop Moses in the Charismatic Episcopal Church and I know he and Agnes were blessed to minister to the great people in our Parish at COTR.
